I am not a fan of spicy food but I can say that I was sooooo addicted to Ramyun! It all started when my sister became hooked on Kpop stuff and so it's mandatory for her to try Korean dishes as well. So one of them was RAMYUN!
I even became more addicted to it when I taught in a Korean Camp last August of 2011 and January of 2012. During lunch time, my students would gather in the dining hall and would start eating different kinds of Ramyun. Ramyun (in Korea) or what we call Ramen (in Japan) is just the same. And for us, it's an instant noodles! And I have discovered different kinds of Ramyun so far but it's kind of limited in the market. Like for one, Ramyuns are not usually sold in big supermarkets. I usually find them in 7-11 and Mini-Stop. However, I discovered that there is a mini-market somewhere in Angeles, Pampanga that sells Ramyuns. I haven't tasted it yet but I'll cook it soon so to discover if it will pass my qualifying taste.. hahaha! This is what I got!

RAMYUNS screaming!!!

4 variants of Paldo (seafood, kimchi, broad noodles and U-dong flavor) |

VARIANTS:
* Seafood Flavor
What I got from 7-11 particularly was from Nong Shim Ltd. There are different kinds of Ramyun from Nong Shim. There's the ever popular Shin Ramyun which is Hot and Spicy, and the regular ones like the Korean Clay Pot and Potato Pork.

Paldo Ramyun: P36.50 (all variants)
Korean Clay Pot Ramyun: P32.00
Potato Pork Ramyun: P32.00
Honestly I have problems with the prices because every 7-11 branch has a different one. There's a time when I just bought the latter for P19.00 and when I asked the cashier regarding the changes, she said that 'maybe' it's on sale! Okay then.
REVIEW:
Korean Clay Pot Ramyun - this is the first from all the ramyuns that I tried. It has a little ooomph spice at first but you will surely ask for a 2nd pack to cook when you're finished with this.
Potato Pork Ramyun - This really confuses me a little. It's in red packaging and so I thought that maybe this is spicier than the first one. And because they also belong in the same company, I thought that maybe I'm right. But I am so wrong!!! It's just the same taste with the first one but there were tiny bits of potatoes on it.
Shin Ramyun - Honestly, I can't remember eating this. hahaha. So I might as well add this to my review on the Paldo variants which I bought earlier.
VERDICT:
I will still continue to discover and eat all kinds of Ramyun from packages to instant cup to bowls from the restos that I can find. I'm beginning to love it! ♥ By next week, I'll try to go somewhere in Angeles to try Mr. Ramyun (a Ramyun store) which I heard from a friend that it caters not only Ramyuns but different kinds of Korean food as well. Excited! ٩(-̮̮̃-̃)۶
Care to tell what Ramyuns have you tried so far?
